She might not have won the award she was up for – best actress in a motion picture, drama, for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom – but Viola Davis was certainly winning big with her outfit, the work of Cameroon-born, LA-based designer Claude Kameni. As Davis’s stylist, Elizabeth Stewart, told Vogue: ‘Her look is all about rethinking glamour and couture on the red carpet in the age of diversity and inclusivity.’
